Dr. Yip provides out-of-network coverage. If a psychologist is out of network or does not accept insurance, you can check with your insurance company to see if they offer partial reimbursement for services. If they do, Dr. Yip can prepare a monthly superbill that lists your attended sessions and payments. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company, and they may reimburse you based on your coverage. Request information from your insurance company about coverage for an out-of-network provider who offers outpatient psychotherapy. Inquire whether you have an out-of-network deductible and, if so, how much of it has been met or what the remaining amount is that you would need to pay before your insurance can reimburse you for any out-of-pocket expenses. You are responsible for submitting the superbill along with any paperwork required by your insurance company. Contact your insurance company before starting treatment to find out what reimbursement options or rates they offer and what the process entails.
